Lot of memorabilia from Northern Frontier Zoo, Earlton, Ontario (now closed) features copies of a poster announcing the opening of their new Sculpture exhibit "Moose and Wolves: A Wildlife Sculpture Carved from Cedar" July, 1987 by Sally Lawrence and Rob Moir. Artists signed and added personal notes on the large print to the current owner. Additional copies of an invitation to attend the opening and an image of another sculpture installed by the same artists in Kirkland Lake: "The Miners Memorial".  Item# B053

* Northern Frontier Zoo was the home of the largest steel sculpture of a bison on the continent - as claimed by the Belanger family who also owned the adjacent business on Highway 11 just north of Earlton, Ontario.A huge 9 ton steel bison sculpture (19 feet high, 27 feet long) on the property. Its become a Trans-Canada Highway landmark.  A stylized image of that sculpture is depicted by the zoo's logo. (Picture credit: VR Earlton RV website)
